Here’s a slideshow with my favourite images from the land of Nepal. Scroll down to see as thumbnails.
I’ve only been to Nepal the once, and that was 30 odd years ago, so these are all from scanned 35mm slides.
We visited Kathmandu and Pokhara, and trekked to Poon Hill and back via the Annapurna Base Camp trail, then flew to Jomson and trekked up to Muktinath at the base of the Thorong La pass on the Annapurna Circuit.
I imagine the towns and villages have changed since then – I know there are roads reaching in to some of the areas that could only be reached on foot when I was there – but I doubt the mountains are much different. Here are a few of the pictures anyway.
Some of these images are also for sale as royalty-free stock photographs – see My Nepal Portfolio on iStock – and others as Rights-Managed in my Alamy Archives.
